Pope Francis was hospitalized
The Vatican announced that Pope Francis, the leader of the world Catholics, was admitted to a hospital in Italy due to respiratory problems caused by a lung infection.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said last night that 86-year-old Francis is not infected with Corona, but needs a few days of treatment.

Bruni added that Francis had breathing problems in recent days and went to the hospital for tests.

The Vatican spokesman noted that the tests showed a respiratory infection that should be under the supervision of doctors.

It is unclear whether Pope Francis will be able to attend public events in the coming weeks, including Easter on April 9, because of the illness, Reuters said.

The issue of the health of the leader of the world Catholics has been receiving more attention since two years ago and after colon surgery.

Pope Francis replaced Pope Benedict XVI, who abruptly resigned ten years ago. Benedict XVI was the first head of the Catholic Church in 600 years to step down. He died on the last day of 2022 at the age of 95.
