The Saudi technical team arrived in Tehran to investigate the reopening of the country
A technical team from Saudi Arabia has arrived in Tehran to investigate the reopening of the country's embassy in Iran. At the same time, delegations from Oman and Saudi Arabia have arrived in Sana'a to agree on a permanent ceasefire in Yemen.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iranian media have reported that Nasser bin Awad Al Ghanoum, the head of the Saudi technical team, has arrived in Iran to review the mechanisms for reopening the Saudi Arabian embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad.
 
Relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia were severed in 2016. The two countries agreed to restore relations last month with the mediation of China in Beijing.
 
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan met last Thursday in Beijing.
 
Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, announced after this meeting that the official relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran have started.
 
According to Iran Press, this trip was made in line with the recent agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran in China to resume bilateral relations.
 
Simultaneously with the agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia to resume relations between the two countries, the Saudi and Omani delegations have arrived in Sana'a to consult with the National Salvation Government of Yemen with the aim of achieving a permanent ceasefire in this country to start a new and important round of consultations to end the war in Yemen.
 
In a meeting with the Saudi delegation, the head of the negotiating team of the National Salvation Government of Yemen stressed that the blockade of Yemen should be completely lifted and the salaries of Yemeni employees should be paid without any problems.
