Afghan Trans Project to Boost Regional Economic Integration
Amir Khan Muttaqi in a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister at the meeting of ministers of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries in Samarkand, iscussed bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and Uzbekistan’s positive position on Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, Muttaqi highlighted the importance of the Afghan Trans railway project, stating that it would play a constructive role in boosting regional economic integration, said a statement released by Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry.

Foreign Minister, Muttaqi while thanking Uzbekistan for hosting the 4th Ministerial meeting, said that Afghanistan and Uzbekistan share a common religion and language and termed two countries a good economic partners.

For his part, the Uzbekistan Foreign Minister, Bakhtiyor Saidov said that his country wants peace and stability in Afghanistan.

He stressed that the frozen bank reserves of Afghanistan should be released, adding that it is important for the economic reconstruction of the Afghan people.

In this meeting, the Uzbek Foreign Minister, mentioned reaching the trade volume about 800 million dollars in the past year between the two countries, said that this trend will increase further in the future.
