The beginning of the Arab League meeting in Saudi Arabia; Bin Salman welcomes Bashar Assad
The 32nd summit of the Arab League will begin in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, while Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, has welcomed Syrian President Bashar Assad in Jeddah, and at the same time, Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has also arrived in Saudi Arabia on an unexpected visit.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The 32nd meeting of Arab League leaders started its activities today, Friday, May 19, in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
 
After Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, welcomed Bashar al-Assad at the Arab League summit in Jeddah, Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced on Twitter that he traveled to Jeddah at the invitation of Saudi Arabia's leaders to meet with Mohammed bin Salman and other senior officials.
 
According to Al Jazeera news channel, Ayman bin Abdel Rahman, Prime Minister of Algeria, said at the 32nd meeting of Arab League leaders in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: We welcome Syria's re-appearance in the Arab League.
 
He said: "The international community must guarantee international support for the Palestinian nation and its sanctuaries and work to stop Israeli settlement building."
 
He said: We condemn the Israeli occupation regime's criminal actions against Gaza.
 
The Prime Minister of Algeria also asked the parties involved in Sudan to use their wisdom and start negotiations.
 
On behalf of Algerian President Abdel Majid Taboun, he handed over the chairmanship of the Arab Summit in the new period to Saudi Arabia.
 
In this meeting, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said: We are very pleased with the presence of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in this meeting and we hope that Syria's return to the Arab League will play a role in supporting Syria's security.
 
He said: "The issue of Palestine is the central issue of Arabs and Muslims and is at the top of Saudi Arabia's priorities."
 
The Arab League is the oldest regional organization in the world, founded after the First World War.
