Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The closing ceremony of this course was held on Tuesday, July 18, in the presence of Dr. Hashem Dadashpour, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology and Head of the Student Affairs Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During his speech, while thanking the Iran University of Science and Technology for hosting, he said to the international students: "Consider this educational cultural course, which has been created with the two goals of creating friendship and affection among you students and creating awareness for the purpose of individual growth and promoting group activities, and at the same time trying to solve the challenges of Islamic countries in the Islamic world."
The Deputy Minister of Science of Iran stated that the Islamic world has an important part of the world's population, but it has not been able to succeed in the field of innovation and technology as much as its population, and this issue is considered one of our most important concerns today. He clarified: Muslims make up a quarter of the world's population, but they have a small share in the field of scientific and technological achievements, so that the desired number cannot have an impact on global equations, and in this situation, the relations governing the world will affect us without us being able to play a significant and effective role.
He stated: About 6.5% of all scientific articles in the world are contributed by Muslims. In the field of innovation and technology, this number is 2.5%, despite the fact that 25% of the world's population is made up of Muslims. These figures show us that the Islamic world has a small share in these equations and should try to improve it.
The head of Iran's Student Affairs Organization added: Each of the Islamic countries is facing challenges, therefore, in such a situation, the role of the students of the Islamic countries to overcome this situation and improve the conditions emerges more than in the past.
Dadashpour, pointing out that every Muslim student has social and religious responsibility in addition to personal responsibility, so that he can take steps to improve conditions; He said: After the Islamic revolution in Iran, many efforts were made in the Islamic Republic, which had a good effect on the world, but this is only a prelude to achieving the result, so all Islamic countries should come to work with their solidarity and real role-playing, and as a result, we can change the equations of the world for the benefit of the Islamic world.
Meanwhile, Dr. Razaghi, Director General of International Student Affairs of the Iranian Student Affairs Organization, said in a conversation with Ava: The special cultural and educational course for international students of Iranian universities was held at Iran University of Science and Technology for 5 days with the participation of about 600 international students from 40 universities of this country and from 16 nationalities.
He further reminded: Considering that the first cultural training course for international students was held last year hosted by Allama Tabatabai University and due to the very good feedback and reflection it had among international students, the reception of this course was very high this year and many applicants had registered for this course, but due to the capacity of the classes and our university, we had to consider about 600 as the final registrants.
The Director General of International Student Affairs of the Ministry of Science of Iran stated: This course was held with the aim that international students can get to know students of other nations in addition to learning a series of basics, so that new friendships can be formed, and these friendships will definitely not be ineffective in the field of unity between the Muslims of the world and the future of the entire Islamic world.
According to him: different educational programs including family, elites in the Islamic world, enmity and topics related to the deepening of religious beliefs and introduction, the basics of the Islamic revolution and the elite role of students in the Islamic world were prepared for international students in this course, which was held in the presence of professors and prominent figures.
