Governor Herat emphasized on the standardization of customs and laws
Governor of Herat, in a meeting with Minister of Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Finance of country, in the presence of businessmen and industrialists of Herat, emphasized on the standardization of customs by the central authorities and suggested that the authorities should implement the central law uniformly in all customs.
Afghan News Agency (AVA) - Herat: A number of industrialists and businessmen met with the Governor of Herat in the presence of the Minister of Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Finance and the Chief of General Customs of Afghanistan.
 
These industrialists have shared their problems with the authorities of central and governorate of Herat due to lack of electricity and illegal import of products from foreign countries.
 
In this meeting, they asked the central authorities to deal with these problems.
 
In this meeting, Sheikh Noor Ahmad Islamjar, Governor of Herat also emphasized on the standardization of customs by the central authorities and suggested that the authorities apply the central law uniformly in all the customs offices of the country.
 
Meanwhile, the Minister of Revenue and Customs of the Ministry of Finance assured that if the corruption in Afghanistan Customs will be zero and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to prevent the importation of smuggled products.
 
The Minister of Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Finance also promised that the problems of the industrialists and traders will be taken care of.
 
Maulavi Muhammad Hamid Ahmad, after being appointed as the new head of customs in Herat province, today, during a meeting, the Minister of Revenue and Customs, Ministry of Finance and the head of General Customs will introduce and start the work of this customs office.
 
Customs Herat is one of the most important ports of entry in the west of country.
