Anwar Haq Kakar was appointed as the interim Prime Minister of Pakistan
The media have reported that after the dissolution of the Pakistani parliament and the resignation of the government headed by Shahbaz Sharif, Anwar Haq Kakar has been appointed as the interim prime minister of the country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Arif Alvi, the President of Pakistan, yesterday (Saturday, August 12) has approved the appointment of Mr. Kakar as the interim Prime Minister.
 
According to media reports, Mr. Kakar was proposed to the President of Pakistan as the interim Prime Minister after the agreement of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Raja Riaz, the leader of the opposition.
 
Anwar Haq Kakar is a member of Baluchistan Awami Party and the leader of the parliamentary group of this party since 2018 till now.
 
In 2018, he was elected as an independent senator from the province of Baluchistan, Pakistan.
 
The appointment of the interim prime minister of Pakistan has taken place after the president of Pakistan Arif Alvi signed the order to dissolve the national council of that country after the resignation of Shahbaz Sharif from the post of prime minister last Wednesday.
 
With the dissolution of the National Assembly, the term of the current government of Pakistan has ended, and until elections are held and a new government is formed, the interim prime minister will be in charge of the country's affairs.
