Taekwondo team athletes returned from South Korea
The National Olympic Committee has said that the athletes of the Afghanistan Taekwondo team have returned to the country after participating in three international competitions in South Korea and winning 14 medals.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Atal Mashwani, the spokesperson of the National Olympic Committee, told Bakhtar Agency: In the Taekwondo Kim Onyung Cup hosted by South Korea, which was held with the participation of athletes from 30 countries in Mojo city of that country, six Taekwondo players from Afghanistan won two silver medals and four bronze medals.
 
In these competitions, Mohsen Rezaei at 58 kg and Ashraf Shekran at 87 kg won silver medals, Ramin Amini at 54 kg, Hikmatullah Zain at 68 kg, Ramesh Hosseini at 80 kg and Ali Akbar Amiri at 87 kg won bronze medals.
 
Also, in the Chun Chan Open, South Korea, where athletes from 60 countries participated, the Afghan athlete Ali Akbar Amiri won the gold medal in the positive weight of 87 kg.
 
In addition to these competitions, Afghan taekwondo athletes at the International Taekwondo Festival in Gangwon, South Korea, Mohsen Rezaei won a gold medal at 58 kg weight, Bijan Sadrzadeh won a silver medal at 63 kg weight, Hekmatullah Zain won a bronze medal at 68 kg weight, and Amid Sohak won a medal at 80 kg weight. Ramesh Hosseini won a bronze medal in the 80 kg weight class, and Mohsen Rezaei and Omid Sohak won a bronze medal in the two-person team competition.
 
The spokesman of the National Olympic Committee added: The leadership of the Sports Administration of the country is going to celebrate the victory of these medal-winning athletes with a special ceremony.
