Strengthening education is the government
Abdul Salam Hanafi said in the commemoration ceremony of World Teacher's Day: Strengthening education in terms of quantity and quality is the priority of the government. He further criticized the existence of imaginary schools in the previous government and added that there are no imaginary schools in the Islamic Emirate.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The ceremony to celebrate World Teacher's Day was held today, Thursday, October 5, 2023, with the presence of high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate, cabinet members, teachers and students at Amani High School.
 
Abdul Salam Hanafi, the administrative deputy of Prime Minister, while congratulating on Teacher's Day, said that strengthening education in terms of quantity and quality is the priority of the Islamic Emirate.
 
According to him, after the rule of the Islamic Emirate in the country, the Ministry of Education has organized 10 million students in 18,498 schools and educational centers with more than 200,000 teachers.
 
Mr. Hanafi further added that they are trying to activate schools in all parts of the country, so that, according to him, all the people of Afghanistan can benefit from the light of education.
 
The administrative deputy of Prime Minister further stated that schools form the basis and foundation of a government and schools should be strengthened in terms of quantity and quality, therefore the government of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education and the Department of Technical and Vocational Education to the extent possible.
 
Hanafi also asked the country's teachers to educate students with "Islamic spirit and national interests". Mr. Hanafi asked the students to learn "Islamic and essential sciences" in schools after school.
 
He stated that the salaries of all government officials have been provided from the internal budget to the extent possible and they are trying to increase the salaries of teachers according to the available facilities. Recently, he criticized the existence of imaginary schools in the previous government and said that imaginary schools do not exist in the Islamic Emirate government.
