The country must be self-sufficient in the salt sector from domestic sources
The Deputy Economic Office of the Prime Minister's Office says that in the regular session of the Economic Commission, it was decided that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum will reduce the royalties of the raw materials of domestic salt production and processing factories in order to produce and process salt domestically and meet the demand.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Economy has written on its X social page that in the regular meeting of the Economic Commission, headed by Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, it was decided that the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum will produce and process salt in the country and meet the demand to reduce the royalty of raw materials of domestic salt production and processing factories.
 
It was also decided in this meeting that the Ministry of Industry and Trade should give land in the industrial towns of the respective provinces, and including the salt factories, all production factories that are equal to the standards should be fully supported and the factories that are not equal to the standards In a short period of time, they should make themselves equal to the standard, so that the country can reach self-sufficiency in the salt sector from domestic sources.
 
In this meeting, it was also said that the Food and Spices Department has a responsibility to seriously prevent the entry of low-quality salt into the market. Also, at the end of this meeting, the committee appointed under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Water and Energy was given the task to prepare a comprehensive plan for the stabilization and security of properties related to the privacy of water dams and seas and present it to the next meeting of the Economic Commission.
