Officials of the country's Ministry of Industry and Trade have said that a high-level Pakistani business delegation headed by Khorram Agha, Deputy Minister of Commerce of this country, will travel to Kabul tomorrow to discuss issues related to bilateral trade.

Mohammad Zubair, executive director of the Pakistan Trade Development Authority, said: "Yes, a high-level delegation headed by the Minister of Commerce of Pakistan will visit Kabul on March 25 to build trust and strengthen confidence and ensure the flow of trade between the two neighbors."

This official of the Trade Development Department of Pakistan pointed to last week's air attack by Pakistan on parts of Afghanistan and said that relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have been on a downward trend for a long time.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, a year ago, between 1,500 and 2,000 trucks entered Afghanistan from Pakistan daily, but "improper restrictions by Pakistan's border and trade authorities with new laws have made trade almost impossible" and the number of Pakistani shipments to 700 has been reduced.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Trade added that due to trade problems with Pakistan, Afghanistan's trade with Iran through Chabahar port has been very prosperous.

The visit of this delegation of Pakistan's Ministry of Commerce to Kabul is scheduled to take place while the relations between the two countries have become dark in recent months.
