Russia: Israel's attacks on Syria are unacceptable

"We strongly condemn these provocative military actions, which are fraught with very dangerous consequences in the context of the further deterioration of the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone," a statement published on the ministry's website said.

According to the latest reports, on the night of March 29, Israeli fighters bombed various targets in the outskirts of Aleppo. According to preliminary information, as a result of these attacks, dozens of people were martyred and many were injured. Previously, on March 28, two civilians were injured as a result of an Israeli air attack on Damascus province.

During the conversation between the two diplomats, the importance of UN Security Council Resolution 2728 passed on March 25 and the need for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, at least during the month of Ramadan, were emphasized.

This meeting was held at the initiative of the Egyptian ambassador and in relation to providing the background for negotiations between the Israeli authorities and the Palestinian Authority. In addition, the diplomats of the two countries discussed some practical issues of interaction between Moscow and Cairo, including maintaining an active political dialogue.

A day earlier, the International Court of Justice ordered the authorities of the Israeli regime to take measures to ensure the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid to the people living in the Gaza Strip. Since the end of January, when the Zionist regime ordered the adoption of temporary measures due to the continuation of military operations in the Gaza Strip, the life situation of Palestinians in this area has become much worse than before.
