Three European countries "Norway, Ireland and Spain" recognized the state of Palestine
Norway, Ireland and Spain announced today that they recognize the state of Palestine. In protest against this action, the Zionist regime called its ambassadors from these countries.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Due to this action, the number of European Union member states that recognize Palestine has increased to 12 out of the total of 27 member states of this union.

After the establishment of relations between the European Union and the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1975 as part of the Arab-European dialogue, in 2014 Sweden was the first European Union member state in Western Europe to recognize Palestine. Other countries, Malta and Cyprus, as well as Eastern European countries that were part of the "Soviet camp" at the time (Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland and Romania) recognized Palestine in 1988 before joining the European Union.

Spanish Prime Minister Adolfo Suarez was the first Western European leader to host Yasser Arafat, head of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), in September 1979.

In 1986, the Spanish authorities granted official status to the PLO representative office, which was opened in Madrid in 1972.

According to Shafqna, in February 1980, Ireland was the first Western member of the European Union to demand the creation of a Palestinian state. It was also the last country to allow the Israeli regime to open a "resident embassy" in its territory in December 1993.

Among the G20 members, ten countries - Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Turkey - recognize Palestine as a country.

Now Palestine is recognized as an independent country by 146 of the 193 member states of the United Nations. Since November 2012, Palestine has become a "non-member observer state" in the UN General Assembly.

On April 18, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution with a majority of 143, which confirms the right of Palestine to be a full member of the United Nations.

Today's announcement of the recognition of the Palestinian state by three European countries angered the Israeli authorities so that Tel Aviv immediately announced the recall of the Israeli ambassadors in Norway, Ireland and Spain.
