Olympic benefits only for London
A recent poll has shown that the majority of the British people believe the London Olympic Games will mostly benefit England and not Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland.

A BBC poll found that 74 percent of the surveyed people believed that only London is to benefit from the Olympic Games not the rest of the UK.

The state-run BBC also reported that if questioned, Scots, people in Wales and South-west and Northern England would also be likely to agree with the 74 percent denouncing Britain’s benefit over the Olympics.

Moreover, 59 percent being of the individuals questioned thought that the cost of the Games had come at a high price for British taxpayers.

This comes as organizers of the 2012 London Olympics have become increasingly worried about Britain’s unstable weather conditions as constant heavy rain continues to fall across the country.

According to official figures the cost of the Olympics in London has reached over £9 billion, nearly four times its original estimate in 2005, while a Sky investigation predicted the costs could soar to £24 billion. Furthermore, experts fear the continuous wet and stormy weather will block the needed income and cause an unexpected loss.

The ‘Torch relay’ has been disrupted by flooding and heavy rainfall that is resulting in hazards and disappointment to many locals. But the benefit and income that London intends to achieve from the Olympics could be overwhelmed if its 6 years of planning and overpriced budgeting plunge.

London’s income relies much on tourism, especially if it hosts an international event. But, the wet climate has notoriously played a large role for many years on reducing business progress and keeping visitors from spending money or investing.
