Taliban leadership in Pakistan sends delegation to Afghanistan
A council of Taliban leaders based in Pakistan's Quetta city has dispatched a delegation to Afghanistan's border province of Helmand, a credible source told 1TV on Thursday.

The source did not detail the purpose of the delegation’s visit. However, it comes as Taliban are carrying out internal consultations following renewed peace talks with the United States.
Sources earlier said that the Taliban leadership gave nod to temporary ceasefire in Afghanistan.
Experts believe that the Taliban delegation arrived in Helmand to discuss their leadership’s decision with military commanders.
Syed Akbar Agha, a former Taliban commander, however, said that if the Taliban makes a decision, field commanders will not protest it.
US top negotiator Zalmay Khalilzad held several rounds of talks with the Taliban since the start of this year.
As the sides were close to an agreement, US President Donald Trump halted the talks citing a deadly attack in Kabul.
Earlier this month, Khalilzad resumed talks with the Taliban. After the group claimed responsibility an attack on US base in Bagram, Khalilzad said that he was taking a brief pause from the talks for the Taliban to consult with their leadership.
