Will say no to int
We will not redeem the Taliban and will say no to the international community if it trades us away, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said on Sunday.
Speaking at a ceremony to celebrate International Youth Day, Ghani said that “we worry about nothing while we have people’s consensus and when the largest section of the society stands with us.”
He said it is “our good will and intention that we want peace, but we have not been defeated.”
“The foundation of consolidating the republic has been laid,” the president said.
The president urged youths to raise voice for national values. “The path to peace is not linear and smooth, and success in the process depends on improving stability and taking responsibility.”
The president said that Afghans do not want donation and that shared interests requires mutual respect.
“We should join hands with convergence, and support the republic in a unified rank,” Ghani said. “If needed, we won’t build roads, but our security and defense forces will not run out of food.”
