Sexual harassment in the church; 11 French bishops and priests were accused
The Catholic Church in France has announced that several members of this church have been accused of sexual abuse and secrecy.

He said: Among the defendants is "Jean-Pierre Ricard", the long-time bishop of Bordeaux, who was elected as a cardinal by Pope Francis in 2016 and admitted to a "reprehensible" action against a 14-year-old teenager.
 
The revelation comes as French bishops gather for their autumn conference in southwestern France to discuss ways to improve their communication and transparency regarding sex allegations against church members.
 
It should be noted that the Catholic Church in countries such as America, France, South Africa, Argentina, Chile and Australia is faced with sometimes old cases regarding the sexual abuse of children and nuns, in some of which the accused and the victims have died.
