According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA), Belgium has donated €3 million to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The UN OCHA tweeted on Tuesday, December 13 to applaud Belgium’s commitment of €3 million, or 3,147,957 in USD, to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
OCHA stated that this year, 25 million Afghan people received aid of some kind from the UN and other aid organizations.
Following a year of extreme economic hardships and natural calamities such as drought, earthquakes, and floods, the WFP has projected that the precarious situation of many Afghan families will get worse in the coming months, with the onset of the harsh winter.
The WFP reported that since the year’s beginning, it has provided financial assistance, emergency food assistance, and livelihood support to 21.9 million people.
