Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The provincial head of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Kandahar Haji Mohammad Hamid told BNA that 21 registered beekeeping farms exist in this province, adding that their beekeepers were able to collect 35 tons so far.
Beekeeping farm owners say that in the past few months, there has been a significant increase in the production of honey in this province.
Meanwhile, the price of 1kg of pure honey in Kandahar is 1000 Afghanis, the beekeepers in Kandahar urges that if a center built for Kandahar honey and the ground provided the business for beekeepers will be developed.
