TTP green light for ceasefire with Pakistan government
The Pakistani media "Dawn" has reported the desire of the leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for dialogue and ceasefire with the government of this country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Pakistani media Dawn has written in a news today (Sunday, January 8, 2023) that Noor Wali Mehsud said in a message: "We had a dialogue with Pakistan through the mediation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan." [Our talks] are still open to a ceasefire agreement."

This statement indicates that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan is seeking guidance from religious scholars.

He said: "If you find something wrong and negligent, or if you think that we have changed our course, you who are our religious teachers and scholars, [should] guide us in the same way that you guided us before.”. We are ready to hear your comments.

The ceasefire between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban and the Pakistani government ended in late November, and a wave of attacks began in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.

According to the Pakistan Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), December 2022 was the deadliest month for the Pakistani military in the last decade.

However, Rana Sanaullah, the interior minister of Pakistan, has recently said that the country has decided not to negotiate with the Pakistani Taliban (TTP).
