He also added, "But sometimes there are different things that we have to see, like skin defects or something else, this is the treatment that we can choose in Germany, not heart patients." We know that many children have heart problems, but we do not have the capacity in Germany to take these children with us.
At least 500 children have gathered here and want to go to Germany for treatment, but the German Peace Village only treats children who have one of these three diseases.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of the Afghan Red Crescent says that the documents of a number of sick children will be transferred to Germany for examination and diagnosis by German experts.
Irfanullah Sharafzai, the spokesperson of the General Directorate of the Afghan Red Crescent, said: "The process of treating the patients has started and will continue for seven days. At this stage, nearly thousands of citizens are referred, and among them, patients who are qualified are selected."
Based on the statistics, the German Peace Village has treated more than four thousand sick Afghan children in Germany and returned them to their families since the beginning of its activities in Afghanistan in 1988.
