Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The General Director of Passport department, Mawlavi Abdul Haseeb Karim said today, Thursday, that the passport registration process will begin online in Kabul and all provinces of the country, and the passport distribution process will resume next Wednesday.
General Passport department is committed to provide all-round facilities for citizens in this sector, he said.
The bank branch in the premises of the general directorate of passports for the military and businessmen, as well as in the ministries of interior affairs and commerce and industry, have activated passport distribution branches.
Those who have an electronic identification card, do not need biometrics again to get a passport, he said.
Officials of Passport department says that after this, everyone can get a passport in their respective provinces and those who have already registered can choose the respective provinces to receive a passport by next Wednesday.
“In the near future, the distribution of passports will increase to 10,000 copies in one day.” said Shershah Qureshi the deputy of passport department.
Passports department assure that there are enough passport booklets, technical problems have been addressed and after this there will be no barrier in the passport distribution department.
