The Reuters news agency quoted its reporter as saying that the heavy gate of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in Riyadh was open with an inspection team present, and a white car was seen entering the embassy building.
 
A few hours ago, the internal news agencies of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced the arrival of a technical delegation from Iran to Saudi Arabia to reopen the embassy and consulate of the Islamic Republic.
 
Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic, while confirming this news, said that the Iranian delegation in Riyadh and Jeddah have the necessary measures to reopen the embassy and consulate general of the Iranian government in Saudi Arabia.
 
According to Reuters, hours after the announcement of the presence of technical representatives of the Islamic Republic in Saudi Arabia, the diplomatic office of the Iranian government's embassy in Riyadh was reopened.
 
The arrival of the technical delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Saudi Arabia was done only a few days after the presence of a technical team from this country in Tehran and Mashhad, for the reopening of diplomatic missions.
 
The re-establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the reopening of embassies and consulates are among the main axes of the recent political agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia. After several rounds of behind-the-scenes negotiations, the agreement was finally signed in Beijing with the mediation of the Chinese government.
