Organizing the annual meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in India
The annual meeting of defense ministers of SCO member countries will be held today (Thursday, April 27) hosted by India.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Defense Ministers of Russia and China will attend this meeting as permanent members and the Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran as an observer member.
 
Iran's Defense Minister left Tehran for India on Thursday (April 27).
 
The speech and conversation with the defense ministers present in this meeting is one of the plans of Amir Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support, at the meeting in New Delhi, the capital of India.
 
Using the capacities of the Shanghai Organization in order to strengthen and build more trust in order to develop and expand defense and military cooperation with member countries has provided new opportunities to the Islamic Republic of Iran and other member countries in the field of defense and military.
 
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental organization that was founded in 1996 with the initiative of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan with the aim of establishing a balance against the influence of the United States and NATO in the Eurasian region.
 
Iran became an official member of this organization in 2021, and Iran's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was approved by the Islamic Council in 2022.
