Russia criticized the Security Council resolution on Afghanistan
Vasily Nebenzia, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, criticized the Security Council's resolution for Afghanistan for not having a comprehensive view of the country's issues.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasiliy Nebenzia, said that Western countries, led by the United States, prevented the issuance of a comprehensive resolution that would reflect all of Afghanistan's problems.

While requesting to cancel the ban on the education and work of Afghan women and girls, he said: However, the real reasons for not solving the issue of non-blocking of Afghan assets that belong to the Afghan people, requests to increase humanitarian aid and revive the country's economy, as well as the consequences The negative of unilateral sanctions did not make it to this resolution.

The representative of Russia continued: This approach of our Western colleagues no longer surprises us. This is just another example of the double standards of the US and its allies in discussing various crises in the Council.

Nebenzia clarified: At the same time, those who are the cause of the terrible crisis in Afghanistan and its consequences, a crisis that Afghans have to deal with alone, are precisely those who today speak loudly about the sufferings of the women and girls who are left behind.

The Russian representative added: "If you care so much about the people of Afghanistan, why don't you return the money you stole from them and direct it unconditionally to improve the dire human and socio-economic situation?" Why don't you lift the illegal unilateral restrictions and responsibly contribute to the real solution to the problem of Afghanistan that you created yourself? Vulnerable population groups, including women and girls, will benefit the most from such measures.

Stating that any attempt to politicize humanitarian issues under various pretexts is unethical and unacceptable, Nebenzia emphasized the need for practical interaction with the Islamic Emirate and preventing the isolation of Afghanistan.

In the end, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations stated that a patient and constructive dialogue will be beneficial for everyone, the people of Afghanistan, the region and the whole world.
