Afghanistan was identified as one of the countries with the highest risk of damaging heat waves
With the warming of the earth and the increase in temperature, British researchers have identified the vulnerable countries that are at risk of temperature, and Afghanistan, along with Paiva, New Guinea and Central America, have been introduced as high-risk countries from the destructive heat waves.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Science Alert said in a report today (Monday, May 1, 2023) that China and Central Europe have also been identified as high-risk areas.

The researchers are said to have used the latest climate models and global population data in their research.

"Policymakers and governments need to prepare for events beyond current records – especially with climate change-driven trends increasing the likelihood of extremes," the British researchers report.

The findings of British researchers show that high heat tolerance not only causes human death, but can also be devastating in terms of agriculture and have destructive effects such as increasing the risk of fire.

Researchers have said that heat waves are so intense that they cannot be predicted by the tools available to them.

Vicky Thompson, a climate scientist at the University of Bristol in the UK, also has some hopeful news: “Preparation really does reduce the number of deaths. "These preparations can include cooling of locations in urban environments and changing or reducing working hours."

Despite the warning of unprecedented heat in the coming days and months, the Islamic Emirate has not yet said anything about its readiness to deal with natural events caused by heat.
