Earthquake of magnitude 4.6 Strikes Paktia
An earthquake of 4.6 magnitude hit 39 Km northeast of Gardez, Paktia province of Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, The quake of 4.6 magnitudes occurred at 5:24 am local time, 5 km depth on Tuesday with the epicentre of Sayed Karam district of Paktia province of Afghanistan, reported by the Indian National Center for Seismology.

No casualties have been reported so far.
According to the official reports, natural disasters have increased in recent months, including earthquakes, landslides, heavy rains and flooding, and have left enormous financial and human damage.

According to Shafiullah Rahimi, the State Ministry for Natural Disaster Management’s spokesman, 29 people died across 31 provinces, while the recent earthquake and flash floods from March 21 to April 20 injured over 105 persons.

Meanwhile, he continued, there were financial losses brought on by the natural disasters, including the death of 848 cattle, destroy of 155 residential houses and partial destruction of 1,242 houses, and the damage of 7,106 acres of agricultural land.

Afghanistan is a disaster-prone country, including earthquakes. Over 200 people were injured, and at least 19 died when a powerful 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan in March.
