Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: According to a CNN report, on Sunday, May 15, 2023, McCall made the first request for transcribed interviews from Jonathan Menotti, the former chief of staff of US Deputy Acting Secretary of State Carol Perez.
Mark Evans, the former director of Afghanistan affairs in the US Department of State, James P. D. Hart, the former commander of the US Special Forces in Afghanistan, Jane Howell, an employee of the consular affairs office, and Daniel Smith, the former senator of that country, are among the people who will review after the action of the ministry. The US State Department is taking the lead on US withdrawal from Afghanistan.
He added: "Through our ongoing investigation, we have come to the conclusion that these five people have important information."
Michael added: "It is very important that they speak to the committee without delay.”As we continue to gather evidence, the committee will continue to interview current and former government officials involved in the planning and execution of the retreat."
Based on this report, all five officials have been asked to contact the committee and arrange their transcribed interviews by the 22nd of this month.
