630 Types of Drug and Medicinal products Produced in Afghanistan

In the opening ceremony of the first domestic drug products exhibition, the General Director of Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority, asked domestic and foreign investors to invest in the drug production sector in Afghanistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, In the opening ceremony, Dr. Omar reminded saying that all the drugs and medical equipment in this exhibition are domestic products of the country.

He said, currently 630 types of drug and medical equipment are produced in Afghanistan adding that the AFDA is striving to increase the domestic products to more than 800 types.

The General Director of AFDA assured all domestic and international investors that the ground opportunities for investment in Afghanistan, mainly in the production sector of drugs are provided adding that AFDA is ready for any cooperation with investors.

The head of the Prime Minister’s office, Dr. Abdul Wasea Khadeem praised the efforts of AFDA and domestic drug producers, saying: Domestic products of the drug are one of the achievements of the Islamic Emirate, and the use of domestic drug products with good quality will develop the country’s economy.

The Islamic Emirate strives to boost the domestic products of drugs and the use of domestic products will make us self-sufficient in the sector of drug production.

Deputy Minister of Economy, Abdul Latif Nazari, said: Domestic products should be supported and developed.

630 drug and medicinal products displayed in 44 booths were displayed and the exhibition will last for at least three days.
