Intense conflicts in the Indian state of West Bengal
Following the bloody clashes in the municipal elections in the Indian state of West Bengal, 18 people were killed and dozens were injured.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Indian media reported on Saturday (July 8) the news of bloody clashes during the municipal elections in the state of West Bengal with a population of 104 million.
 
In these clashes, 10 people from the ruling Congress Party of India (Trinamul), 3 people from the Bharatiya Janata Party, 3 others from the Congress Party and 2 people from the Communist Party lost their lives.
 
The Trinamool Party (TMC) accused its opponents of indulging in violence, and the state's main opposition party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), called for a complete cancellation of the election.
