South Korea promised more military aid to Ukraine
During a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart, the South Korean president said that Seoul plans to provide a larger scale of military supplies to Kiev this year.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): South Korean President Yoon Seok-yul, who visited Kiev, said his country will provide more military equipment and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
 
The unannounced visit of the President of South Korea to Kyiv was made after his attendance at the NATO Summit in Lithuania and his visit to Poland.
 
On Saturday evening, during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Yoon said that South Korea plans to provide a larger scale of military supplies to Kiev this year, without providing any further details.
 
According to the Reuters news agency, he explained that South Korea also plans to provide $150 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine this year, which is an increase of $50 million compared to last year.
 
The South Korean president also added that Seoul will cooperate with Kyiv in projects such as reconstruction and infrastructure construction by providing loans and financial aid.
 
According to the report, while thanking Yun for South Korea's support for Ukraine, Zelensky said: "We are discussing everything that is important for the normal and safe life of people."
 
South Korea's positions towards Russia and Ukraine have intensified in the circumstances that America and Western allies have asked South Korea to support Ukraine.
