International Cricket Stadium to be built in Kabul
On the construction of the international cricket stadium in Kabul, the head of the administrative office in a meeting with the representatives of the relevant departments, emphasized on removing the challenges in the way of the project.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Chaired by Dr. Mullah Abdul Wasea, the head of the administrative office of the Prime Minister, a meeting held with the participation of representatives of Kabul Municipality, the General Directorate of Affairs and the Afghanistan Cricket Board, and all Multilateral sides talked about the finalization of the detailed plan for the improvement of 13, 14, 16 sections and 17 of the Qala-e-Zaman Khan project for the construction of an international cricket sports stadium.
 
In the meeting, the accountable engineer shared details on the map and plan of an international cricket stadium, which will be built in Kabul.
 
Lately, the cabinet of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had allocated 100 acres of government land in the AloKhil area of the 16th district of Kabul to the Cricket Board, but only 86 acres were handed over to the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
 
In the meeting, it was noted that the Administrative Commission of the Prime Minister’s Office has decided to hand over 86 acres of land for free to Afghanistan Cricket Board for the construction of an international cricket stadium.
 
The representative of the cricket board stated that the Afghanistan International Cricket Stadium will be a complementary complex including a hotel, health center, mosques, and other facilities and will continue to have a positive impact on the growth of the country’s economy and the lives of the local people, said we hope that action will be taken as soon as possible in handing over the said land to the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
 
The construction of the international cricket sports stadium is a good step, on the one hand, cricket athletes can compete with international standards, and on the other hand, it will lead to the settlement of a part of Kabul city and create job opportunities for our compatriots, said the head of Prime Minister Office.
 
The challenges that exist on the way to the implementation of this project should be removed as soon as possible and the detailed plan for the construction of the Afghanistan International Cricket Stadium should be presented for approval to Prime Minister Office, he emphasized.
