Türkiye arrested 41 people on charges of membership and cooperation with the ISIS terrorist group
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Kaya announced that the country's police have arrested 41 people in 12 provinces of the country on charges of being members of the ISIS terrorist group.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Yerli Kaya, on Wednesday May 1, reported on "X" social media that these arrests were made during the operations of the Turkish security forces in 12 provinces of this country.
 
The Minister of Interior of Turkey announced the arrest of another 51 people on charges of connection with the ISIS group earlier this year.
 
The Turkish Interior Minister also added that the country's security forces have arrested 2,991 people in the last 10 months on charges of collaborating with Daesh.
 
Ali Yarlikaya said that these people were arrested during 1,422 operations across the country.
 
After ISIS claimed responsibility for a number of deadly attacks in Turkey, Ankara expanded operations against members of the group.
 
Among the deadly attacks of ISIS in Turkey, there was an armed attack in January 2017 on a night club in Istanbul. 39 people died in this attack.
