Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The second national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifah (RA) was opened on Sunday (July 16) by the Chamber of Commerce and Investment in cooperation with the relevant ministries and economic sectors of the Islamic Emirate in Kabul.
On the third day of this exhibition, the officials of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment said during a conference yesterday evening (Tuesday, July 19, 2023) that the reception and presence of the people was wide and the producers had sales of thousands of dollars.
Mirwais Hotak, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, says that they participated in the second national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) in about 700 booths.
Mr. Hotak added that 20 million dollars’ worth of contracts were signed in the three days of this exhibition.
He also said that more than 150,000 visitors have visited the exhibition in these three days, which has increased the sales of the exhibitors' products.
Mr. Hotak added: Exhibitors have sold more than 30 million Afghanis during three days in this exhibition, which shows a very high figure.
The CEO of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment also said that more than 200,000 US dollars were contracted in the furniture sector. Also, 70,000 dollars have been contracted in the health department, which shows the effectiveness of the exhibition.
On the other hand, Mubarez Alami, the representative of Hasti Production Company, said that the attendance of people in this exhibition was unprecedented.
Mr. Alami added that their sales on this day were equal to their months of activity. The exhibition has been effective for one year in three days for this company.
He also added that such exhibitions are very useful in introducing domestic products to the people because people should use domestic products and people's use of domestic products causes the country's economic growth.
The first national and international exhibition of Imam Abu Hanifah was held a few months ago by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other institutions, in which more than 600 domestic and foreign companies participated.
In the last two years, the Islamic Emirate has organized several large exhibitions for economic growth and supporting the private sector, and the officials of manufacturing companies are also satisfied with the performance of the Islamic Emirate. The only problem that all companies mention is the electricity problem and banking problems.
