Iran is still the third holder of oil reserves in the world
The latest OPEC statistics show that the proven oil reserves of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2022 are equal to 208 billion and 600 million barrels, and this country is still the third largest owner of oil reserves in the world.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): OPEC announced in its latest estimate of the volume of oil reserves in 2022, Iran's total crude oil reserves reached 208.6 billion barrels at the end of 2022.
 
According to this estimate, Iran's oil reserves this year have not changed compared to the previous year.
 
Iran's oil reserves did not change between 2019 and 2022 and were equal to 208 billion and 600 million barrels, while this figure was equal to 155 billion and 600 million barrels in 2018. That is, it has increased by 53 billion barrels in the following years.
 
According to this report, Iran ranks third in the world in terms of oil reserves in 2021. Venezuela is known to have the largest oil reserves in the world. The country's oil reserves are estimated at 303 billion and 221 million barrels, which has decreased by 247 million barrels compared to last year.
 
Saudi Arabia ranks second with reserves of 267 billion and 192 million barrels in terms of the amount of reserves that have not changed compared to the same period last year.
 
OPEC's proven oil reserves in 2022 have reached 1243.523 billion barrels in 2022 with an increase of 0.1%, i.e. one billion and 704 million barrels.
 
The total world oil reserves at the end of 2022 have also been announced as 1564.441 billion barrels. This figure has increased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous year.
