Special security meeting in Iraq about Ashura and Arbaeen Hosseini ceremonies
During a special security meeting with the presence of high-ranking commanders, the Iraqi Minister of Interior discussed the planned security and service measures and plans for Ashura and Arbaeen Hosseini ceremonies.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Abd al-Amir al-Shammari", the Minister of Interior of Iraq, yesterday evening (Wednesday, July 26), held a wide-ranging security meeting to review security measures and services planned for Ashura and Arbaeen Hosseini ceremonies.
 
According to the official news agency of Iraq (WAA), this meeting was held with the presence of a number of high-ranking commanders of Iraq, and during it, the success of the Ashura and Arbaeen security and service program and the security of domestic and foreign pilgrims of Imam Hussein (AS) were reviewed.
 
According to this report, ensuring the security of border crossings and facilitating the mission of transferring pilgrims, increasing intelligence efforts and joint coordination between all security forces and providing logistical support, smooth traffic, ensuring the security of all routes, providing the best services to pilgrims, reopening new roads, especially During this year's Arbaeen, one of the most important issues discussed in this meeting was the wide security.
 
Khalid al-Mahna, the spokesman of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, said earlier: As the Ashura pilgrimage approaches, auxiliary and support forces from all sectors will be sent to the holy province of Karbala. This year's program is different because, unlike previous years' programs, more routes have been opened and the number of blocked routes has been reduced for security reasons.
 
Two days before the beginning of Muharram, the Karbala Operation Command (under the Iraqi Army) announced the holding of a security meeting to ensure the safety of pilgrims and announced that this security meeting was held under the supervision and honor of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani.
 
  Ali al-Hashemi, the commander of the Karbala Operation Command, announced that several additional routes to Karbala, including the route from Baghdad to Jarf al-Nasr and then to Karbala, as well as a new route near Babylon, will be opened for the movement of pilgrims.

Al-Hashemi also announced the establishment of an operation and coordination room from 1st of Muharram to 13th of Muharram and said that representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, and Al-Hashd al-Shaabi and the Air Force are present in this operation room.
 
The highest military official based in Karbala province also announced that all coordinations with different departments of the Iraqi government have been carried out to facilitate the movement and transportation of pilgrims.
