He also said: Dominance, injustice, discrimination and moral crisis have put the world in a dire situation.
 
Raisi called BRICS a symbol of change and evolution in global relations and said: BRICS can help solve the problems of the world community and global trust in the effectiveness of BRICS is increasing.
 
The President of Iran stated that Iran is ready for significant political and economic cooperation with all 5 BRICS members and added: "In the recent period, we have clearly witnessed the leap and deepening of these cooperations."
 
Raisi emphasized: Iran has unique capacities and is ready to participate in this series in the political, security, economic, financial and social fields.
 
The President of Iran considered the continuation of racist policies and insecurity arising from oppression and occupation and state terrorism as one of the challenges in the global south and said: These policies have not only prevented the Palestinian people from the right to self-determination, but also the right to development.
 
Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa, announced on Thursday, reading the joint statement of the BRICS member countries, that the countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Argentina, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia have been invited to join this group.
 
According to the President of South Africa, the membership of these countries in BRICS will begin in January 2024.
Sayed Ebrahim Raisi, on the sidelines of the 15th meeting of the BRICS group, during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, said that Iran's membership in BRICS will strengthen the principled approaches of this group, including opposition to US unilateralism.
 
In this meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping also congratulated Iran on BRICS membership and said: China is ready to strengthen bilateral cooperation and develop cooperation in different platforms to strengthen the process of multilateralism.
 
Following his meetings with some leaders of BRICS (Bloc of Emerging Economic Powers) member countries, the President of Iran also met and talked with the Prime Minister of India in the city of Johannesburg, the economic capital of South Africa.
 
Ayatollah Sayed Ebrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed a political delegation on Wednesday night in his first official visit to attend the meeting of the leaders of the BRICS member states at the invitation of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
