Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): In this regard, the neurologist of Khatam-ul-Anbiya (S) hospital in Iranshahr said that a five-year-old Afghan child living in Iranshahr has given life to three needy Iranian patients in Tehran.

This child, whose name was Haroun, suffered brain death due to falling from a height (on a tree), and was hospitalized in Khatam al-Anbia hospital in Iranshahr for five days and nights, and finally, with the consent of his parents, his organs were donated.

Mohammad Omar Afghan, Harun's uncle, said: My nephew suffered brain death due to falling from the height of a tree. He was hospitalized for 5 days and nights in Khatam al-Anbia Hospital in Iranshahr, and his organs were donated with the consent of his parents.

Harun Afghan is the first organ donor volunteer at Iranshahr University of Medical Sciences. After the necessary arrangements, the said child was transferred to Tehran by plane and his 2 kidneys and liver saved the lives of three needy patients in Tehran's Sinai Hospital.

Stating that this is the first consent for organ donation in the south of Sistan and Baluchistan province, this official said: Organ donation requires the participation and culturalization of citizens in the south of this province, because with this action, the lives of several patients will be saved by brain dead survivors.
