Ten public benefit projects worth 19 million Afghanis were put into operation in Nangarhar
Local officials in Nangarhar province say that ten public benefit projects worth 19 million Afghanis have been put into operation in Momand Dara district of this province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Nangarhar Province media office reported on Saturday, September 9, 2023, that ten different projects with a financial cost of 19 million Afghanis have been put into operation in this province.
 
According to the officials of this office, these projects have been put into operation with the technical cooperation of "Dakar" Institute in different areas of Momand Dara district.
 
Based on this information, the completed projects include 14 side roads, cleaning of 31 kilometers of water canals, construction of 96 meters of water canals and construction of 125 retaining walls.
 
Also, 2000 people were provided jobs in these projects and thousands of families will benefit from these public benefit projects.
 
Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture of Nangarhar has announced the beginning of the construction of a canal and dam worth 73 thousand US dollars in Lalpur district of Nangarhar.
 
According to the Nangarhar Department of Agriculture, this project has been started with the financial cooperation of the "UNDP" office and the technical cooperation of the "ROP/CBARD" organization.
 
Maulavi Abdul Sattar Mohammad, head of agriculture of Nangarhar, says that this canal and headland has 205 meters length, two water control gates, 100 meters of side walls.
 
It should be mentioned that the construction of public benefit projects throughout the country continues mostly with the financial support of international organizations.
