An increase in the death toll from the earthquake in Morocco
Morocco's Ministry of Interior announced that the death toll from the earthquake in the country has increased to 1,037 and the number of injured has increased to 1,204.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The earthquake in Morocco that shook the mountain region of "Ighil" 70 km southwest of the center of Morocco at around 11:00 last night has killed 632 people and injured 329. The person has arrived.

The Geophysical Center of Morocco announced the strength of this earthquake as 7.2 degrees on the Richter scale, but the US Seismological Organization recorded its strength as 6.8 degrees on the Richter scale and at a depth of 18.5 kilometers.
 
A resident of Essaouira, 200 kilometers west of Morocco, told The Guardian by phone: "We heard screams during the shaking." People are in the squares and in the cafes and prefer to sleep outside. Pieces of the facade of the buildings have collapsed."
 
Earlier, the Moroccan Ministry of Interior announced that according to their preliminary information, at least 296 people have died and 153 others have been injured following the powerful "7.2 degree" earthquake in this country last night (Friday, September 8, 2023).
 
This earthquake is said to be the deadliest after the 2004 earthquake in Al Hamisa region in the north of the country, which left more than 600 dead.
