The members of the United Nations Security Council have called the terrorist attack on the Shiite mosque, known as "Imam Zaman" in Pul Khomri, Baghlan center, as heinous and strongly condemned it.

 

The members of the Security Council sympathized with the families of the victims and said that they once again emphasize that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations is one of the most serious threats to peace and security in Afghanistan as well as in the world.

 

The members of the Security Council added that any act of terrorism, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whoever is committed, is criminal and unjustifiable.

 

They have once again emphasized the need for all countries to fight by any means, in accordance with the United Nations Charter and other obligations under international laws, against threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist acts.

 

It is worth mentioning that on Friday, the ISIS group carried out a terrorist attack on the worshipers at the Imam Zaman Mosque in Baghlan Province. According to the latest statistics, 30 people were killed and 40 others were injured in this suicide attack.
