The Islamic Emirate announced the resumption of the construction of the "Qadir Abad" dam in Badghis
The local officials of the Islamic Emirate in Badghis say that the "Qadir Abad" dam in the Qads district of this province will be rebuilt at a cost of 12.5 million dollars from the government's budget.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: Ahmadjan Hanzala, the spokesman of the governor of the Islamic Emirate in Badghis, says that the construction of this dam has resumed today (Saturday, October 14).

According to Hanzaleh, the construction cost of this dam will be paid from the "government budget" in the amount of 12.5 million dollars.

The spokesman of the governor of the Islamic Emirate in Badghis adds that a private company will complete the construction of this dam in the next two years.

According to Hanzaleh, with the start of the work of this dam, work has been provided for hundreds of people in Badghis.

"Qadrabad" dam, if completed, will be one of the largest water dams in the country, which will have the capacity to store nearly two million cubic meters of water.

This dam has a length of 200 meters and a height of 32 meters and will be able to irrigate 1300 hectares of agricultural land. In the previous government, it was said that this dam is capable of irrigating 1400 hectares of land.

It should be remembered that the construction work of "Qadrabad" Dam was started in 2018 by the Turkish company "Pimtek" and it was supposed to be completed in two and a half years, but with the domination of the Islamic Emirate over the country, its work was stopped.
