Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: They said on Tuesday, October 17, 2023: "Pakistan should stop any kind of forced deportation and continue to host Afghan nationals who have fled due to security threats."
They have also demanded to guarantee the assessment of the human rights needs of the refugees with international standards from the Pakistani government.
Expressing concern over the forced deportation of refugees from Pakistan, experts say that families, women and children are facing irreparable harm, including serious human rights violations in their country.
They have stated: "We are still concerned about the reports that Afghans living in Pakistan have been subjected to detention, exploitation and illegal treatment."
Forced deportation of asylum seekers, prohibition of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment are included in the Human Rights Convention, to which Pakistan is a party.
At the end of last month, Pakistan gave refugees in this country a deadline of one month to leave this country.
According to reports, after this deadline, the Pakistani police arrested and forcibly deported a large number of Afghan refugees in this country.
