Red Cross Pledges Aid to quake-hit people of Herat

 

Governor Islam Jar expressed gratitude for the Red Cross’s efforts and emphasized the importance of prompt delivery of humanitarian aid. He also urged all organizations and institutions to coordinate with local administration in assisting the victims of the earthquake.

 

The recent earthquake in Herat resulted in significant loss and damage, claiming over a thousand lives, injuring nearly two thousand others, and leaving around three thousand families homeless.
