Abbas Jilani's meeting with Kazemi Qomi; Pakistan's foreign minister emphasized a peaceful and stable Afghanistan

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Iran's special representative and ambassador in Kabul, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, had a conversation with Jalil Abbas Jilani, Pakistan's interim foreign minister, and Asif Durrani, the country's special representative for Afghanistan affairs, during his visit to Pakistan. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan wrote in a newsletter today (Monday, January 15) that Jilani, in his meeting with Qomi, emphasized Pakistan's commitment to a peaceful and stable Afghanistan, as well as the need to increase coordination for regional stability.

According to this newsletter, the interim foreign minister of Pakistan considered the role of Afghanistan's neighboring countries to be vital for achieving the vision of a peaceful and stable region.

The news release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan also states that Qomi held extensive talks with Asif Durrani, Pakistan's special representative for Afghanistan affairs, about the situation in the country and regional trends for "peace and dialogue".

Iranian media have also written about Kazemi Qomi's visit to Pakistan that this trip took place at the official invitation of Asif Durrani, Pakistan's special representative for Afghanistan affairs.

It has been said that the focus of Kazemi Qomi's conversation with the special representative of Pakistan and the interim foreign minister of this country is regional issues and joint cooperation.

It should be mentioned that Iran and Pakistan have been more involved in Afghanistan issues than other neighbors. On the other hand, these two countries host millions of Afghan refugees.
