In an interview with ABC TV, US Deputy National Security Adviser John Feiner said that the country wants the Zionist regime to move from wider ground operations in the Gaza Strip to targeted attacks against the leaders of the Hamas movement.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): John Feiner said in an interview with ABC TV: "We have defended Israel's right to take defensive measures against Hamas so that this threat does not happen again." We have also clearly stated that Israel's behavior in this conflict is a great concern for us."

He added: "In recent days and weeks, we have witnessed the beginning of a change in a phase of the conflict. "We want Israel to focus more on high-level targets such as Hamas leaders, and we see that they have started to do so."

These statements come in the context that the Wall Street Journal recently wrote that Israeli officials have admitted that despite air and ground attacks inside Gaza that have killed thousands of civilians, they have not achieved their goal of "destroying Hamas."

John Feiner also emphasized that Washington asked the Zionist regime to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of the Gaza Strip. In addition, he claimed: "Israel has taken small but important steps.

While the war in Gaza has entered its 108th day, fierce battles of the Palestinian resistance are going on in several neighborhoods of the city of Khan Yunis, and the occupation fighters have intensified their attacks on this city in the south of the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the residents of northern Gaza are struggling with the famine situation.

It should be noted that nearly 90,000 Palestinians have been martyred and injured due to the barbaric attacks of the Zionist regime.
