The media of the Islamic Republic of Iran have reported, quoting Javad Hedayati, Director General of Transit and International Transport of the Road and Road Transport Organization of this country, that a road transport cooperation document has been signed between Iran and Afghanistan.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: According to Tasnim, Javad Hedayati discussed the provisions of this agreement in a meeting with Hamidullah Akhundzadeh, Acting Minister of Transport and Aviation of the Islamic Emirate.
It has been said that in this meeting, the Director General of Transit and International Transport of the Iran Road and Road Transport Organization emphasized the country's will to increase the economic relations between the two countries, strengthen the transit corridors and the importance of completing the Herat-Mazar-e-Sharif roads in order to facilitate access to Central Asian countries for other countries in the region.
This Iranian official also welcomed the decision of the Afghan government to use the capacity of Chabahar port, and the readiness of the Road and Road Transport Organization of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to cooperate and facilitate the transit of goods for Afghan businessmen in the form of a chain of logistics services in Chabahar port and terminals.
The Ministry of Transportation said that in this meeting, bilateral agreements between the technical delegation of the Islamic Emirate and the Iranian delegation were discussed on the reduction of road transportation costs, the development and facilitation of bilateral international transportation relations, and other issues.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Transport and Aviation of the Islamic Emirate has not yet published a new announcement regarding the signing of this cooperation agreement.
