The continuation of Israeli crimes; The largest confiscation of West Bank lands since 1993
Although the United Nations Security Council has declared Israel's plan to expand settlements in the occupied Palestinian lands illegal, in a new move by the occupying regime, 800 hectares of land in the Jordan Valley on the West Bank of the Jordan River for settlement and the construction of hundreds of residential units.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Israel's Minister of Finance Bezalel Smutrich, who signed the decree to confiscate these lands, said: "Announcing the annexation of these lands is an important and strategic issue for the construction of hundreds of residential units and the industrial, commercial and employment zone has been allocated.

Israel's action comes while the United Nations and most countries of the world consider the settlements of the Zionist regime illegal, because this regime occupied these lands in the 1967 war and based on the Geneva Convention, any construction by the occupier in the occupied lands is prohibited.

However, hundreds of thousands of Zionists are currently living in Jewish settlements built by the Zionist regime after the 1967 war and the occupation of Palestinian lands in the West Bank and East of Jerusalem.

Now, in another move, Israel is trying to take over another part of the Palestinian land. From 2023, the extreme right wing in the cabinet of "Benjamin Netanyahu" has seriously and openly put the official annexation policy of the West Bank on Israel's agenda, and the war in Gaza and the current situation of the Palestinians have now given the occupiers more opportunities to usurp this land. has provided, an action that is now unacceptable even to Israel's allies.

The European Union strongly condemned the decision of Bezalel Smotrich, the Minister of Finance of the Zionist regime, regarding the confiscation of 800 hectares of occupied Palestinian lands.

European Union Foreign Policy Spokesman Peter Stano also announced in a statement: "This is the biggest land confiscation since the signing of the Oslo Accords between the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Israeli occupation in 1993."

He emphasized: "The development of Zionist settlements is a clear and dangerous violation of international humanitarian laws."

Although other European authorities, including French President Emmanuel Macron and the German Foreign Ministry, have condemned the Zionist regime's decision to build new settlements in separate positions, they are not taking any serious action to stop this crime by the Zionists.

In this regard, French President Emmanuel Macron, while condemning Israel's new settlement program, declared: "The forced transfer of Palestinians from Rafah is a war crime."

The construction of Zionist settlements is a clear and dangerous violation of international humanitarian laws. Especially from the point of view of the United Nations in the current situation, this action weakens the efforts to achieve a two-state solution and is an obstacle to reaching an agreement to end the Gaza war.

UN Human Rights Commissioner Volker Turk warned: "The establishment and development of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories is a war crime and can destroy any practical possibility to establish a stable Palestinian state."

Despite the global condemnation of the Zionist regime's settlement policy, Israel still insists on continuing and carrying out the illegal settlement policy, and it seems to be one of the important strategies of this regime following the failure of its policies against the Palestinians.

Netanyahu and his cabinet, who are under severe internal pressure and have not been able to achieve success, including the release of Israeli prisoners, despite several months of the Gaza war, have now put the usurpation of more Palestinian lands on the agenda, so that the minister In order to cover up the failure of Tel Aviv's policies, Israel's property is trying to force Palestinians to move by building new settlements.
