Afghan forces convoy attacked in Kandahar

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack which happened amid Reduction in Violence negotiated between the United States and the Taliban.
The attack happened in Chinar area of Shah Wali Kot district, a police source told local media.
The attack involved also a bomb blast that hit a vehicle, according to the source.
The seven-day Reduction in Violence began on Saturday. It is seen as a test for Taliban to prove control of their forces ahead of signing of peace deal.
