Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: According to the information of the officials in the anti-narcotics management of the Badakhshan Security Command, 40 thousand acres of poppy land in the center and various districts of this province have been cleared of poppy.
According to them, so far 95% of the poppy fields in Badakhshan have been destroyed and the rest of the fields are being cleared during the current operation.
Officials emphasized that the destruction of poppy fields in Khash district continues and 30 acres of marijuana land has been destroyed.
This is despite the fact that within three months, poppy fields have been destroyed in most of the northern and northeastern provinces.
